Who Am I?

Hi.

I am Kunal Nayak. I am from Mumbai and I love to write.

On the surface, at the first glance, I might seem bland. After all, I am an Indian I.T. Engineer, General Category, Middle-Class and to top things off, Male. Could I be any more generic? (*Chandler Bing from F.R.I.E.N.D.S approves*).

But the more you get to know me, and the more you look under the surface, the more you will realize that I am much, much more.

It’s like playing a video game; you start off at level 0 and then climb up the experience ladder to beat the game at level 100. I am no different. I might have started off as seeming flat and flavorless as one can be, but I have transcended banality. Life shapes you and shapes you and you end up changing constantly – whether you like it or not. Everyone is unique, and I am no different. Believe me.

Or not. It doesn’t matter, really.

I am not here to tell you what I am. I am here to show you.

As a kid, I loved creating worlds, ideas and stories in my head that did not exist. Some were fantasy, some were extended versions of our reality. But each was unique, vibrant and fulfilling to me. I loved talking about concepts, asking questions constantly and thinking about life in general, even in my childhood. When I grew up, I learnt how to write and that gave me a great outlet for my overcrowded mind. The process of learning and growing is still ongoing. Yes, that rhymed intentionally.

I was definitely a daydreamer and if you asked anyone who knew me as a child, they would tell you how I would scribble random stuff on the last page of my notebooks. Ideas, thoughts and opinions used to consume my rough books.

It has been quite a while since, and I am still scribbling my ideas, thoughts and opinions – albeit in a neater way. This blog is an attempt to share a glimpse of myself with the world. I like positivity, creativity and perhaps a hint of inspiration too… My aim is to write and learn, and write and learn some more! I want to be the very best, that no one ever was… (Whaddup Pokemon reference!!!)

In an ideal world, I would peacefully be an introvert, but somehow I also like love people. So feel free to contact me, the ambivert.

Finally, welcome to Bleeding Mahogany! Enjoy your stay here!

Love,

Kunal.
